The 2013 SW Regional Event returned to Dillington House in Somerset. Held on 17th October, the topic 'Practical Radiation Protection' proved popular with almost 100 attendees. Talks covered current issues faced and lessons which can be learnt from historic issues. Speakers included those from the HSE, Hospital RPA, Operational HP’s from DRDL and AWE. Aspects from nuclear, aircrew, hospitals, HSE perspectives on practical issues surrounding radiation protection in the normal working environment and both good and bad practices were covered.  With a strong focus on the practicalities of radiation protection delegates gained the learning potential from sharing experiences.

The event consisted of a welcome reception and Hog Roast the evening before the conference.

Delegates who attended will be sent a link for accessing the day’s presentations. Please contact unity.stuart@srp-uk.org  if you have not received this.

A report and photos will follow.
