The Instadose enables astronauts in space to view their radiation exposure levels in real-time via its LCD display screen. My first SRP conference in London in the late 90s. I was ready for a career change, but wanted to remain in the radiation sector. A very sweet lady on the registration desk asked me why I was attending, and then made it her job to show me the exhibition area, introducing potential career moves. That lady was Tessa.
I would like to turn this on its head. What has been the worst?! The Mirion stand offered a short quiz, with Homer the Radioactive Man as first prize. Nobody came to collect him: I wonder why? He is now has pride of place in my office.
